South Airways is a southern French airline founded in 1975 to increase tourism in France outside of Paris and the Paris region. Based in four large southern cities including three regional capitals, South Airways has facilitated tourism throughout the south without passing through Paris.

The origins of the company are Marseille because it is in Marseille that the airline was founded and was first based at Marseille Provence airport. Origins from Marseille who were based in Nice then in the southwest in Toulouse as the third hub then Bordeaux, the fourth and last hub of South Airways at this day.
